About this course

The Loft command allows you to create complex 3D shapes by blending between two or more profiles. It is used when a part changes shape from one end to another — for example, transitioning from a circle to a rectangle, or forming smooth, organic curves. Loft is ideal for Higher‑level modelling tasks where simple extrudes or revolves cannot produce the required geometry.

In this course, you will learn:
  • How to sketch multiple profiles for a lofted shape.
  • How to control the shape of the loft mapping vertices.
  • How to offset work planes.
  • How to blend smoothly between different shapes.
  • How to avoid common mistakes when profiles don’t align.
  • How to use Loft to model complex Higher‑level components.
